there is a 91 year old man in the first episode of jw tv.

does something about him look odd to you on the full frontal close-ups?

it somewhat seems like he is cg maybe with an actor really talking but a made up cg face.. before you say no look at this and this was back in 2008:.

The speaker for the introductory presentation on how they set up the new tv studio a few mins into Lett's opening speel states that from the beginning it was evident that Jehovah's blessing is on the arrangement, and that everyone involved could feel Jehovah's hand in everything they did.

Silly cultish poppycock.

I couldn't stomach any more after hearing that, along with Lett's oddball, patronising manner of speaking and mannerisms as if he is addressing a class of young schoolchildren.

So why go to the meetings anymore when you can watch tv.jw.borg? The meetings are even more dull and prosaic than ever in comparison.

"Brother slacker, I noticed you and your family havn't been to the mid-week meeting for a month. Is everything ok?"

"Oh don't worry brother self-righteous, everything's fine. We always do the Family Worship Night without fail and if we can't make the Wednesday night meeting we always watch something on tv.jw.borg to make up for it, such as the Dramas."

It will backfire for the organisation as it will contribute to even more declining meeting attendance, particularly the mid-week meeting.

Why go to the meeting on a cold, wet, Wednesday night after a hard day at work when you can just stay at home, put your feet up, and log into tv.jw.org?

so we've seen as the current gb is getting more facetime in an effort to reach the hearts and minds of the rank and file.

this took a leap with video feeds at an open annual meeting.

the international conventions are taking this a step farther.. do you think that local speakers at kingdom halls could ever be replaced by headquarter approved video feeds?.

Donuthole was right. There will be monthly GB talks played into every Kingdom Hall via a projecter, live or recorded off the internet.

Remember the good old days when once every 6 months the public talk would be a slide presentation, with the curtains pulled and lights out. I used to really enjoy those as a kid.

Now it will be regular GB and video talks/presentations/virtual tours beamed into a kingdom hall near you.

Looking back to what happened since sept 2012... i must say its brilliant !

who thought in the early months of 2012 that such a rebranding would take place in only a matter of 24 months?.

they managed to go from an antique looking and boring website (watchtower.org) with hardly any attractive content to go to a fresh looking new website with stuff for everyone, families, children, teenagers.. movies, and short videos about almost everything and new ones added every month.

cartoons, animation video's , interviews, picture activities all kind of projects, many audio files like dramatic bible readings, dramas and music, online research tools, new brochures for kids (off and online) etc.

also i see no other international religion that takes care so well of their members and has so much to offer to young and old,.. wether online or offline. They offer something impressive and it looks like it that they will continue to do so.

1914. 100 years. So what?

Incredibly, the 'about 1914C.E.' reference at the back of the new version NWT makes no reference to Jesus being enthroned as King then.

This is a probaby a BIG hint that although they remain convinced of the 1914 chronology they are no longer absolutely sure that Jesus really became King then.

In the past we said 1919. And then will be great tribulation. If we look at the context in Matthew 24:3 and what was the disciples question. Jesus answer is found in rest of Matthew 24 and all of 25. All of these scriptures are talking about his coming at great tribulation.

So the master is yet to come and all of the scriptures in Matthew 24 and 25 are talking about his coming at the great tribulation - but they continue to preach that Jesus was enthroned as king in 1914. ????

....If you sleep momentarily we need wake up and remain prepared especially during the Interval between the shout in verse 6 and arrival of bridegroom.

This refers to the Interval between Jesus presence, 1914, and his arrival at great tribulation. Then the verses talk about verbal exchange between foolish and wise virgins, when this happened? During and near end of great tribulation.

So the 'shout' in verse 6 happened in 1914 but the 'arrival' of the bridegroom is at the great tribulation. With a 'verbal exchange' between the start of the great tribulation and end of it.

Purely arbitary and silly, confused distinctions to try and fit all this around the ridiculous 1914 teaching.
